Moody Photography Session | Favorite Images | Life in a Snapshot

This is my personal collection of favorite images taken over the years. Ironically, very few of them are are of food but each of them elicits emotion. Most of them are moody, having been taken in down cast sunlight. I hope you find some inspiration in them. Enjoy.

Dance of the Woods.

There is a beautiful trail that follows the Sacramento river where we live in Northern California. This image was shot at dusk on the river trail. The naked branches of the oak trees created this haunting image, I simply captured it.

Cathedral of Light.

Taken under a pier in San Diego, the play of light on the movement of water was absolutely mesmerizing.

N0. 151 Butterscotched Apples

I find this image of Butterscotched Apples so enchanting. It’s like gazing through a misted forest.

Always be Kind.

This was shot on a pier in Lake Tahoe. That word kind, stood out above the rest of the scares carved into the wood as a reminder to us all.

The Afterglow.

You just want to bask in this soft light.

Howl at the Moon.

This is my favorite blog image to date. It’s sultry. It makes you feel like your in a night club listening to the blue’s.

Say “I Do”.

Just take your shoes off & walk this pier.

The Best of Me.

I consider my children to be my greatest accomplishment as a human being. So although this image may not mean as much to a passerby, may it remind you that it’s ok to real & vulnerable. Although we lost our beautiful Michael this summer, his legend of love lives on. My lovely daughter Taylor, continues to be the light of my life.

The End of the Road.

This image was taken right off the freeway, I-5 on a property in Ashland Oregon. Yes, I did some photoshop manipulation (oil painting) on this one but it remains one of my favorites.

Enchantment.

We had a lot of fires in Northern California over the last few years. The flames cast a strange eerie hue to the sky making this image very haunting.

Who Paints the Sky?

Michael Angelo himself could not improve on this beautiful sky.
